Andrew Stewart serves as Director of Music Ministries and Youth Ministries Coordinator at First United Methodist Church in Ponca City. Andy was born and raised in Ponca City, graduating from Ponca City High School in 1997. At Ponca City High School, he was Trombone section leader and Drum Major of the PO-HI band, a member of the
Symphonic Orchestra, Tenor section leader in Chorale, and a two year All-State Chorus member. He holds a Bachelors of Music in Education with an emphasis in choral music from Oklahoma State University, graduating in 2002 as a member of the OSU Concert Chorale and the internationally renowned OSU Chamber Choir. In 2008, Andy received a Masters in Choral Conducting from OSU. He is entering his fourth season as the Artistic Director of Choral Arts Society of Northern Oklahoma. He remains active in the American Choral Directors Association and Oklahoma Music Educators Association. Andy enjoys reading and movies and spends most of his free time taking pictures or dabbling in independent filmmaking.
